To be said: I'm very annoyed by the fact that the webadministrators have removed a frequently read article (it was in the top 3) on how to optimize the TCP/IP connection on the Zyxel NAS 310/320/325.
The article is referenced by several other forums and this vital information is now lost.
This cannot be the objective of this forum where we share our experiences and solutions with the community.

when I active "media server" the CPU is moving on 100%.
Also when the scanning is terminated the CPU is always to 100%.

Any idea?

I got a problem with my router.
Wlan work perfect, without any problem.
The four lan ports dont work
I tried 3 different cable, and two different pc, but I'm unable to connect via LAN ports.
Anyone know if I need to check some setup in the router?

I have a Qnap 219 NAS connected to a LAN with a Zyxel P-660HN-T1A router. I also have a Qmobile app for my iPad so that I can connect to my NAS from anywhere. Not. The router firewall is enabled so I cannot login. I have to disable the firewall to do so. Is there a way to keep the firewall enabled and still being able to login?

I met the issue also. But I upgrade to 1.00(AAAG.4)C0, 5G Wi-Fi is working fine. Maybe you can upgrade it too.

V1.00(AAAG.5)C0 was released a few day ago.

V1.00(AAAG.4)C0 Did Fix the 5GHz (I didn't use V1.00(AAAG.3)C0 because my old laptop uses 802.11g and it worked well on V1.00(AAAG.2)C0, so I waited until V1.00(AAAG.4)C0 was released and installed and 5GHz signal is reliable).

So the release notes list that it fixed Bonjour and 2.4GHz Wireless issues in V1.00(AAAG.4)C0

I don't think the Update Downloader works (at least in previous versions it has never worked for me).

I noticed that there is a newer release on their website (after reading your post). Download from link below, and unzip (then upload BIN file from computer):

I will start looking into this release. Let me know how it works, I have tested Port Forward which seems to work in version 4, hopefully 5 fixed Bonjour!

My other complaint is the WiFi signal strength is very low, my single antenna Netopia Router/MODEM had 4X more signal.

you have to read little bit more like user manual on web. You then will not be surprised. Be hones I tried another 2 NAS (D-Link and Synology)
Synology is even worse because installing their system to HDD... and both are slower, Synology more expensive.

So solution of your issues is very simple, buy/rent just one 2TB HDD, then copy one your own disk to it, then put into NAS and then second one.

And believe there are many reasons why NTFS is not use in NAS

I'm sorry to post this here, I already tried Zyxel Support but I haven't got any answers, not even a confirmation e-mail saying my problem is being analysed. So I'm trying reach out for the community in order to see if anyone has encountered this problem.

My company recently acquired a Zyxel Switch, model GS-1524 and I'm trying to configure it, before it goes to production state. Unfortunately I'm having some problems which I'll describe next.
Here's the configuration scenario in the switch:
- Management IP 192.168.250.107 /24, GW 192.168.250.254.
- 3 VLANs configured (ID's 250, 10 and 11).
- Port 24 of the switch (Ethernet) is member of all three VLANs and tagged, plus the default (ID 1).
- Several ports configured according the VLAN ID I stated before (including their PVID).
- All traffic enters marked as tagged.

Now for the connections:
- If I've a port on the switch configured on the same VLAN as the switch managment (ID 250) I plug a computer there and access the switch "Web Management Interface". Ok here.
- If I've a computer outside the switch (on another switch), configured in the same VLAN as the switch (ID 250), same as before. Ok here.
- All traffic goes in and out of the switch fine, I've confirmed it (using "ping" and "traceroute"). So there's connection. Ok here also.
- If I've a computer outside the switch and using another VLAN (ID 10,11 or any other than 250) I can't connect to the switch "Web Management Interface", not even "ping" it. Not ok here.

Why can't I remote manage the switch, except if I'm on the same VLAN as the switch? Could this be some firmware protection? I've confirmed the switch firmware as the same version as the download page ( 1.12(AYD.0)C0 ). All network connections seems ok too. Am I missing something? I hope anyone can enlight this situation. . .

I just got an nsa 325, I'm really happy with it so far, although I'm not able to get dropbox working with it.

When I attempt to get authentication from the dropbox site I get a message about the app using an old version of the dropbox api.

The nas came with the latest firmware 4.50(AAAJ.1)

Is it just a case of waiting for new firmware or is there another way round this?

Appreciate some feedback on this.

About to give up on new WAP3205. Have it working as a signal repeater, but it constantly drops the signal every 10 minutes or so. I've tried mutiple channels. its only around one corner, and down the hall about 30 feet from a wireless N router. I even tried another router but the problem persists. Any suggestions anyone?

After many years of successful use of Zyxel 2000 series switches I've now had four cases in a short timespan with three different switches where the switch, on restarting after a power loss, has returned to its default configuration. This has happened with one ES-2024A, one ES-2048 and one GS-2024. Has anyone else encountered this and do you know a cure?

Been trying to get my NSA325 to wake on lan/wan (over the internet). Can't seem to get it to work.. any ideas? Sky router..

I've done downgrade fw from NSA320_4.50(AFO.1)C1 to NSA320_4.01(AFO.0)C0 and now the system is in loop.
The HDD leds are always on while the system led is always blinking.
How can I solve this issue?

Linking Dropbox with my new NSA310.

When I attempt to get authentication from the dropbox site I get a message about the app using an old version of the dropbox api.
The attempt then fails. Dropbox no longer allows this old version of the API to sync with there service any more for new activations.
I believe that from reading NSA325 feedback that tech support are aware of this problem and working on a fix?

Would this be a firmware update, and when would a possible patch be ready?

The nas has now been updated to the latest firmware 4.50(AAAJ.1)
