ZCloud with NAS326

Postby peeet2005 on Sun May 14, 2017 3:20 pm

I've had NAS326 cloud storage for several months now. It works very well and I have no problems. Recently, there was a problem with the ZCloud application on Android. When you start the program, it almost immediately closes. I installed it again and again. Is this the fault of the smartphone system Samsung Galaxy J3-16? There is also a message saying that this app consumes a lot of power and causes a quick discharge of the battery

Since the recent upgrades to the NAS firmware, the ZCloud app (at least on Android) crashes 100% of the time if I try to select Videos or Filebrowser. The ZyXEL Drive app and ZCloud app were marginally acceptable before this -- but, with the now-busted ZCloud app, the NAS 326 is hardly useful as a WAN-enabled private storage device. ZyXEL Drive hasn't supported WAN video streaming, it has trouble with certain mp4 files even on LAN, and the ZCloud app can no longer be used for streaming videos.

It would be great if ZyXEL makes a commitment to improving their apps and their Web UI.

Just today started to use Zcloud, did not do a lot of testing yet. But I got a stream of an mkv file. That worked.
used first on lan (local IP) ( phone via Wifi & in house PC cabled )
used second phone - cell tower - local home router to NAS326.
In both cased I had a streaming of the test file.

Only 1 crash ( the first start).
